On EA888 engines, the original oil filter housing is plastic, and as many owners discover after a few years (cracks, seepage at the gasket, even outright breakage during a rather vigorous oil change), it is clearly not the engine's strong point. RacingLine has taken on this component to offer a replacement designed to last: a housing machined from solid billet aluminum on a 5-axis CNC center, then black anodized for a high-quality look under the hood.
The replacement strictly matches the original dimensions, including the hex nut size, for a fit without modification. The OEM oil filter mounts directly onto it, so there is no change to routine maintenance: you keep the simplicity of the OEM filter, without the risk of finding a cracked housing at your next visual inspection.
