This is one of the known weak points of the EA113 engine block: seizure of the balance shafts on the original oil pump.
A known modification to address this problem is to convert the original system to the one used in earlier engine versions: the 1.8T.

Drilling templates and crankshaft seal included!
Caution: strainer modification required when fitting to a longitudinal engine. The oil level sensor may hit the anti-slosh plate. It is essential to check beforehand and, if necessary, modify the plate so the sensor can pass. It is important to confirm the installation orientation of the drilling templates BEFORE drilling (read the instructions carefully).
All supplied parts are from known brands and of good quality. Several key kit components are genuine VAG parts to ensure reliability, even on high-output builds.
We also recommend fitting the new oil pressure sensor offered here (only if the connector has 1 wire), to prevent a possible engine warning light for oil pressure on the dashboard.
