Hurricane Exhaust designs and builds its systems in Lübeck, Germany. Every system is hand-welded and offers precise fitment and a careful finish. What makes the difference:

• Maintenance-free CNC-machined valves: electronically controlled, they release the full sound when you want it and stay discreet the rest of the time.
• Type approval: every system comes with its approval certificate for road use without further formalities, in the configuration listed below.

Hurricane 3.5" system for VW Golf 7.5 R GPF V2

Developed specifically for the VW Golf 7.5 R GPF V2, this Hurricane system gives the engine a much stronger voice: fierce under acceleration, relaxed on the motorway, with no drone. The optimised routing improves exhaust flow and throttle response.

The valve system

The system features 2 valves, CNC-machined and maintenance-free.

• Hurricane control module with ECE approval: the valves are controlled according to engine speed and road speed. They are open from 0 to 20 km/h and from 80 km/h upwards. The module delivers the maximum permitted sound while staying within the approval.
• Factory control module retained: the valves remain controlled by the vehicle's factory management (drive modes), with no additional unit.

Choosing your options

The system is configured with 3 options. The price of each combination adjusts automatically.

1. Tailpipes

• Without tailpipes: the system is sold bare, without tailpipes. This choice is for customers who already own compatible Hurricane tailpipes; the system cannot be fitted without tailpipes.
• Quad tailpipe kit round sharp-edged brushed stainless steel 4x101 mm
• Quad tailpipe kit round carbon 4x101 mm
• Quad tailpipe kit round black ceramic-coated 4x101 mm

Tailpipe choice is purely aesthetic: diameter, shape and finish according to the desired style. All tailpipes offered here are designed for this system.

2. Valve control module

• Factory control module retained: the valves remain controlled by the factory electronics, at no extra cost.
• Hurricane control module with ECE approval: required to benefit from the approval and drive on public roads.

3. Downpipe connection

• On factory downpipe: for vehicles with the factory downpipe.
• On 76 mm HJS downpipe: made-to-order adaptation for vehicles already fitted with a 76 mm HJS downpipe.
• On 89 mm Hurricane system: made-to-order adaptation for connection to an 89 mm Hurricane downpipe or system.

Approved configurations

The system is approved to UN ECE R59 series 02 in the following configuration:

• Control module Hurricane with ECE approval
• Connection on factory downpipe
• With one of the 3 tailpipe models offered

The approval certificate is supplied with the order.
