How do I know if this part fits my vehicle?
We develop plates and kits for EGR valves, not for vehicles, simply because the same engine or the same valve can be found on many different models. To check whether this product suits your vehicle, look at the photos or the list of compatible engines. We show photos of engine blocks or valves. If your engine matches the one shown, this product is compatible. You can also email us a photo of your engine for a quick reply.
How do I install this product?
The product photos include a simple installation guide. An arrow or drawing shows you the way and serves as the instructions. It's actually very simple. If you wish, you can also add an engine silicone tube (found at the bottom of the page) to ensure a perfect seal. However, it is also possible to drill the plate to create a "restrictor" if you fit it while keeping the rest of the original circuit. It will then let a small amount of gas through and prevent the ECU from detecting the modification.
A warning light comes on, what should I do?
On recent engines (generally 2004 and later), a warning light may come on in the dashboard or the vehicle may switch to limp mode. An electronic intervention may therefore sometimes be needed to pair an electronic delete with this mechanical delete. You can also combine this product with our complete EGR valve delete kit.
Why delete the EGR valve?
Again, for power gains and engine efficiency. We develop and sell parts for motorsport and engine performance. The EGR valve recycles part of the exhaust gases back into the intake to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust, which contribute to atmospheric pollution such as ozone and fine particle precursors. Beyond clogging the engine and producing clouds of black smoke, this technique leans out the air/fuel mixture. By adding exhaust gas to the fresh air, the vehicle feels sluggish. By blocking the EGR valve, you improve the quality of the combustion mixture, which increases engine efficiency and torque. Your vehicle will therefore be more powerful and have more torque. Ideal for shaving a few hundredths off race starts.
