NOS TC178 Nitrous Solenoid was developed for one purpose; deliver the most nitrous volume possible for a single solenoid. With a 0.178" outlet orifice, the TC178 has the ability to flow in excess of 900 horsepower of nitrous from a single solenoid. The TC178 base is also constructed of 6061 Aluminum and then clear anodized. This reduces the weight by 1/4 of a pound over the NOS Super BigShot Trash Can Solenoid, and still retains the mounting location on the base. Good to know
- The TC178 offers a 1/8" NPT bottom exit and a 1/8" NPT purge port. The side purge port must be plugged if not used.
Important: this product runs on nitrous oxide (N2 PI), a gas we do not supply and which is currently difficult to obtain. It is your responsibility to find a local supplier of gas for professionals. NOS bottles do not comply with CE standards (they do not carry the PI mark): only CE-approved bottles may be used. European manufacturers offer bottles approved to contain this gas; please check the applicable standards and verify the manufacturer's origin and compliance before purchasing. NOS fittings are not metric (AN / NPT threads depending on the part numbe PI): plan for the adapters needed for your installation. Please comply with the regulations in force in your country.
