NOS Octane Booster gives you the extra edge when it counts. It lets forced-induction engines run more boost safely, without reaching the engine's detonation threshold, and is particularly useful on high-performance, turbocharged and high-compression engines on track days. This single-use fuel additive raises octane by up to 5 points, which helps reduce knocking or pinging during combustion. Knock occurs when the fuel/air mixture ignites prematurely, leading to retarded timing and a drop in performance and fuel efficiency, and over time it can damage pistons, valves and cylinder walls. NOS Octane Booster promotes smoother, more stable combustion and widens the safety margin of engines that require higher-octane fuel.
