Darkside Upgraded Front Mount Intercooler Kit (FMIC)

Fits the Golf Mk4 / Bora equipped with the 1.9 TDi ASZ PD130 engine. The kit replaces the original plastic pipes and unnecessary gaskets that can cause pressure leaks. The intercooler end tanks are also made of alloy, allowing them to withstand higher pressure levels. The thicker core provides considerably improved cooling capacity.

Welded alloy pipes have a 51 mm diameter and fit perfectly in place of the original turbo pipes.

Fitting on original turbo only. If you need to fit a large diameter turbo, contact us before ordering.

This kit includes:

  • Darkside Developments alloy front intercooler
  • Darkside Developments alloy pipe kit with MAP sensor boss
  • Darkside Developments silicone hoses
  • Darkside Developments turbo clamp adapter (optional)
  • Stainless steel clamps

The reason for the price increase when deleting the EGR is that we include our own custom alloy pipe in the EGR delete, whereas if you keep the EGR valve, you keep the original pipe.

All silicones included in the kit may require slight trimming to fit your setup, they are supplied long to allow for variations between cars. We now offer a range of silicone colors: black silicones are in stock, while other colors are special order and may take up to 1 week to ship. THIS PIPE KIT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR VEHICLES WITH XENON HEADLIGHTS AND HEADLIGHT WASHERS.

(Sometimes the turbo clamp can be quite tight to push on due to the tolerances we machine them to. We have found that heating the turbo compressor housing with a heat gun helps the clamp slide.)
